Not Today, Satan - SEE Speical Edition 02-04-19
Not Today, Satan. How to help, how to change, and how to act in Christ's name. Elevate - Spiritual Emphasis Event 2019
God is going to do big things in 2019. So, in preparation for this groundbreaking year, NSA's Student Council and I have coordinated the biggest spiritual life event of the school year. The event is packed with engaging guest speakers from around the United States, before and after session devotionals and prayers, fellowship, and God's anointing of this special series. Join students from around the world to learn what God can do in your life if you are willing to step out and say "yes" to God!
So, what's it about? This month-long webinar and devotional series will go through verse by verse of Matthew 14:22-33; when Jesus walks on water. Each outside speaker will teach on a specific passage from Matthew and how it can relate to our lives.
Why this passage? Three years ago, my family and I decided to leave my hometown of San Diego, California in the United States to live in our RV and travel around the country doing volunteer and ministry work. We sold everything and had no idea where we were going and what we were going to do. All we knew was that God was calling us to step outside of our comfort zones, outside of our safety net, and step out into deeper water. God revealed this plan to us through a sermon in which the pastor spoke on the same passage that this year's SEE is going to be analyzing; Matthew 14:22-33. It was that sermon, as the pastor pointed out that Jesus was calling us to come and join him on the wind and the waves that God gave us peace in our decision to step out for Christ.
Knowing how much this passage has done for my family, I wanted to be able to share that knowledge and peace that we garnered from this lesson to all of you. My goal as the Spiritual Life Leader is to inspire you and encourage you all through God's ordained Word to go out and live your lives boldly for Jesus.
Planning this event has taken a lot of work, time, patience, and teamwork. Members from across the Student Council and the Student Body have all collaborated together in order to create an all-immersive spiritual life experience in which students can not only connect with God, but with one another. And of course, this experience couldn't be possible if not for our incredible guest speakers! Our guest speakers include emergency relief chaplains, pastors, FCA directors, and Dream Center executive directors. Each speaker has a divinely appointed message for all of the students here at NSA in order to speak truth and divine appointment into our lives. Here is a list of all six sessions and their respective dates and times:
Session 1: Monday, February 4, 9 PM CST with speaker Chaplain Tom Strack
