The Spoon

Hi there! My name is Lydia Roseboom and with me today live in the studio is Josie Good. Welcome to "The Spoon."

Josie, how are you on this fine day?

I am doing fine (on this night actually) xD. How are you doing?

I am doing great Josie. Now, the word on the street is that you have a question for me.

Where did the name for "The Spoon" article originate, Lydia?

Back in the old times, when this article was still in its planning stages, I wondered to myself what I should call an article all about NSA student news and gossip. I concluded that "The Scoop" would be the best title. However, after further research, I saw that a couple years ago Mikayla Pastrano had a Navigator article by that very same name. Since I did not want to seem like a copycat, I thought about it once more; with the help of my fellow classmates, I came to the conclusion that either "The Spork" or "The Spoon" would be the best title for the article. Upon further debate, my class firmly decided that "The Spoon" was the best title. Make sense?

Yes, indeed.

Well, Josie, thank you for starring on the show. To all our watchers, thanks for tuning in! See you next time!

*switches off the expensive TV camera and makes sure to turn off the audio* Well, Josie, I fooled the readers this time. They won't be able to see OR hear this part. Since you starred on the show, Josie, you get to meet Spoony.

Who is Spoony?

The Spoon's fabulous mascot. *turns head to the back* Spoony! Come and meet our guest. *clattering sound is heard, and a huge 6-foot spoon comes bounding out* Now shake hands with Josie, Spoony! *long fingers protruding from Spoony's middle reach forward*

*Static* This show is no longer playing in your district. If you have any questions or concerns please contact L-Y-D-I-A R-O-S-E-B-O-O-M. Once again, that is L-Y-D-I-A R-O-S-E-B-O-O-M

Monthly Happenings

- Caleb Muhling and Carolyn Sie are currently killing everyone big time in the Bulletin Board with a lead of six points. Come on guys! Take them down!! Submit your best meme today at BB Submissions.

- Tirzah Hopkins has just published her newest book on Amazon called The Last of Men. This is her fifth book to have been published. We have a future famous author in our midst!

- Ryan Woodall got poisoned last month by bougainvillea. He claims that this is an exotic plant with thorns. However, there is a theory going around that bougainvillea is actually a nickname for the exotic lasagna served on Wednesday by the school cafeteria. Perhaps, Ryan, being a NSA school patriot, does not want to shed light on the scandal...

- The annual Writing Contest results came at out in this last month. Myah Gebhard won first, Brooke Foster won second, and Brianna Harpel won third place. Send them an email of congratulations!

- The annual Art Contest results also came out. Kaitlyn Sundermeyer won first, Regan Sheddan won second, and Kimberly Kinsey won third.

(Isn't it odd that no boys won either the Writing Contest or the Art Contest? I see a conspiracy forming against the male population of NSA!)

- Sailor White and Ethan Guynn decided to play a prank on the 10th grade and acted like girls for an entire Skype call. Sadly, no one fell for it.

- This was a very slow month. The fabulous reporter for "The Spoon" was not able to dig up much juicy news. That in itself is juicy news, as Spoony loves fruit and had a breakdown at the lack of it. If you would like to donate some fruit to Spoony please contact L-Y-D-I-A R-O-S-E-B-O-O-M. Once again, that's L-Y-D-I-A R-O-S-E-B-O-O-M.
