((Personally I think the best way to do this would be to have an official form where family claims are filed, and then a shareable family tree that could be edited and viewed online, but I didn't find a great way to do that. Microsoft has flowchart type application, but it doesn't support enough text bubbles to actually use it for this (I tried) so... yeah...
